After getting up at the ridiculous time of 5:00 this morning, I still didn’t manage to get going from Warrington until just after 8:00 which was about an hour later than what I really wanted.
I followed the A49 down just past Beeston and turned on to the A534 all the way to Wrexham.
The bike had been running like a bag of spanners this morning so I decided to take it in to Halfords in Wrexham. The bike mechanic was really good and, took a look at the problem and sorted it out for me. It still needs the new parts on it but that is for another day.
I got going from Wrexham and cycled over the rolling hills of Wales all the way through Betws-y-Coed, Capel Curig and on to Snowdon Ranger Youth Hostel.
I managed to get there at about 18:30. Literally ten minutes later, Dave came through the doors, suited and booted from work. I don’t think we could have looked much more different with me looking knackered in my cycling gear and covered in sweat!
We went to Asda for pizza for tea. I only mention this as, Dave’s pizza somehow went completely wrong in the oven and it ended up being a big pile of sloppy pizza mess. His own tribute to Snowdon I reckon!
