Hello there!
My name is Paul McGarraghy, aka Podge. I’m 32 years old with the body of a broken 50 year old!
I’m by no means a natural cyclist. In fact, I’m more used to riding on two wheels with a motor!
I’m a rugby union man, playing for Bury RUFC. I’ve also been doing a fair bit of distance running over the last few years, with this year’s cycle ride capping off a year that has seen me take part in the Great Manchester Run, Edinburgh Marathon, Great Trail Run and Tough Mudder Yorkshire. Plus with the birth of my daughter at the start of the year, I can definitely say that this has been an exhausting year!
